You just got your call-forwarding settings the way you want them, but when you try calling your NumberBarn number, you realize it is not being forwarded to your cell phone! Instead, it goes straight to a voicemail box that doesn't even play your recorded message, or maybe it just asks for a passcode.
When you are forwarding your number to an outside cell phone, it's important to remember not to place your test call from that cell phone number, as it will cause a loop.
Instead, place your test call from a different number (landline, friend's cell phone, etc.)
Why am I prompted to enter a password when I test my call forwarding?
This is the result of calling your NumberBarn number from the phone or device you are forwarding your number to. Essentially, it's the same as dialing your mobile phone number from the same mobile phone. Your mobile phone thinks you are trying to check your voicemail and asks you for your password for that device.
This is why you will want to test call forwarding from another number different than the one you are forwarding to.
