The schedule feature in NumberGarage allows you to route calls one way during a certain set of days and hours and route another way after hours or during "off" hours. In this article, we'll guide you through the process for creating a schedule.
Creating a schedule
Here are the steps to add and edit your schedule:
- Login to your NumberGarage account
- Select Numbers
- Click on the number you wish to edit
- Click the dropdown menu next to Send all calls to a
- Select the Schedule option
- Click the Add Schedule button (If you have previously created a schedule, it will be available here to select)
- The configure schedule window will now be displayed as seen below. Let's say you want to create a schedule for your business hours.
- Be sure to give your schedule a name. Our schedule is called "Business Hours."
- Select the appropriate time zone. We selected "America/Los_Angeles" which is Pacific Time.
- Click the checkmark next to each day your business is open and then enter the start and end time for each day. You can see that our business is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Note that any time that does not fall within these days and hours is considered "After Hours" of "Off Hours."
- Once complete, click Save Schedule
Configuring call routing
Now that you've saved your schedule, it's time to configure your call routing during your schedule and after hours. Be sure that you see your newly created schedule in the following drop down menu:
During available hours
Next you need to select where you want to route calls during available hours. You can choose to route calls to a User, Group, Menu, Message, or Voicemail.
During off hours
For any time off hours you can also route calls to a User, Group, Menu, Message, or Voicemail -- but perhaps you want to route to a different a User, Group, Menu, Message, or Voicemail.
You also have the option to check the box next to Use After Hours Voicemail Message. This will allow you to record and use a separate after-hours message and any callers routed to voicemail during your off hours will hear this alternate message.
Don't forget to click Save Changes
