We occasionally run into issues where the gaining carrier says the number has ported away but all incoming calls are still going to NumberBarn or NumberGarage. Your new carrier's customer service may say NumberBarn still needs to release your number.
This typically occurs with an approved port that hasn't completed with an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) or wireless carrier. In these cases, the number hasn't fully completed porting. We recommend reaching out to the gaining carrier to find out the exact date, assuming it's been approved, where they expect to complete the port.
If you haven't received an email with the subject line "Transfer Away" (Note: This is a different email from the "Transfer Away Processing" email.), your phone number has most likely not finished porting.
