You may have discovered that we have an option to place outbound calls using VoIP mode on one of the NumberBarn Mobile apps. In this article, we'll troubleshoot the various issues that may arise with VoIP calling.
Issues with VoIP calling using the NumberBarn Classic App
On the NumberBarn Classic App, you hear ringing that only stops when you close the app, and the call never rings on the phone that you are dialing.
In this case, outbound calls using VoIP mode are not supported (even though it looks like it in the app) on the NumberBarn Classic mobile app.

Issues with VoIP calling using the new NumberBarn App
If you're still experiencing issues playing outbound VoIP calls on the NumberBarn app, here are some things to try in order to resolve the issue:
- Restart your phone - In some cases a simple restart of your phone will fix this issue.
- Delete and reinstall the app - This may help in the event that you have an older version of the app.
- Ensure that you've given the app permission - When you first try to place a VoIP call, you may see the following pop-up. Be sure to set the permission to "Allow."
- Use callback mode - If all else fails and you need to place a call, use callback mode mode to place the call. This article walks your through this setting: Placing Outbound Call Using the NumberBarn Mobile Application
