As a NumberBarn Marketplace Vendor, it's so exciting when a customer purchases or licenses one of YOUR numbers. And we completely understand that you would want to get paid as soon as possible. We love getting paid too so we totally get it.
Our ultimate goal is to preserve the integrity of the NumberBarn Marketplace. This means that we must do everything we can to safeguard against credit card fraud and subsequent chargebacks. In addition, we must work to combat those who wish to abuse others using our services and/or outright steal your numbers.
With these factors in mind, we've implemented a verification process to legitimize each number sale. The flow chart below gives you an idea of the steps and the timeline in place. We'll also describe a couple of different scenarios in more detail.
The process for a successful vendor sale
When a customer purchases one of your numbers in the NumberBarn Marketplace, we immediately send an email titled Pending Brokerage Sale to the vendor.
At the same time, we send the first of three verification emails to the customer. Emails are sent over the course of 7 days, giving the customer three chances to respond. When they respond, we complete the sale, charging the customer's credit card.
At this point, we will send you an email titled "Completed Brokerage Sale." 10 days later, you are eligible to receive your commission for that sale, either as a credit to your NumberBarn account or as a transfer to your PayPal account.
The process for a fraudulent and/or canceled vendor sale
If a customer fails to respond to one of our verification emails over the course of 7 days, we will cancel the sale and you will receive an email titled "Cancelled Brokerage Sale."
