How to mark an SMS conversation as read or unread

Marking SMS conversations as read

There are two ways to mark an SMS conversation as read. You will know that a conversation is unread because you will see a little dot to the left of it. You can mark it as read by simply clicking on the conversation.

The second way to mark the conversation as read is to click the menu icon and select Mark Read.

Marking SMS conversations as unread

Perhaps you viewed a conversation but want to mark it as unread so you'll be reminded of a pending action item in that conversation. In this case, simply click the menu icon and select Mark Unread. You will notice that the dot reappears next to the conversation. Just be careful not to select that conversation again until you're good and ready. Otherwise, the conversation will be marked as read again and you'll have to start all over.
