Our service is not currently compatible with Apple's iMessage service to send and receive messages. Any messages sent to and from a NumberBarn number are considered text (SMS) messages.
iMessage is a service used between iOS devices requiring an active SIM, Apple ID, and WiFi connection. For example, a message sent from an Apple phone to another Apple phone can use either the iMessage or text message service. A message sent from an Apple Phone to a NumberBarn or NumberGarage number or a non-Apple device will be sent and received as a text message.

Are you having trouble with text messages on your NumberBarn number, and you previously had this number on an iPhone using iMessage? Do outbound text messages work but not inbound?
If so, iMessage could still be enabled on the number. Try sending a message from an iPhone. If the number is blue, then iMessage is still enabled on the number, even though it has ported out to your NumberBarn account.
