Your phone number was successfully ported away from NumberBarn, but calling, SMS, or other services are still not working correctly with your new carrier.

This issue is usually caused by incomplete carrier network updates after the port completes. Porting updates can sometimes take additional time to fully propagate across carrier networks, even after the port is marked complete.

🧪 Symptoms

You may experience one or more of the following:

• Calls still routing to NumberBarn
• SMS messages are not sending or receiving
• One-way audio during calls
• Incoming calls failing
• Outgoing calls failing
• Partial service after the port is completed

🛠 Fix Steps

Confirm the Port Completed Successfully

1	Check your email for the final port completion notification from NumberBarn.
2	Check with the New/Gaining carrier that they also confirmed the number was successfully ported to their system, in the form of a confirmation email or account status.
	If both carriers have confirmed and one of the above symptoms is taking place, go to the next step ⤵️

Contact Your New/Gaining Carrier

1	Contact the porting department for your new carrier
2	Explain the following:	➡️ Both the losing and gaining carriers have confirmed the port was completed. ➡️ Calling or SMS is not working with the gaining carrier service.
3	Ask the carrier to do one of the following:	➡️ Rebroadcast the number ➡️ Rewrite translations ➡️ Refresh provisioning
	(3a) The process can take up to 24 hours. Check that your number is now able to work through the new service.	For example, are both inbound and outbound calls connecting through your new carrier/device? If yes, then the number is now only working with your new carrier.
