π‘ What is it?
A paid promotion that puts one number to the top of matching search results, marked with a Pig Pick badge, in exchange for an extra share of the sale commission.
βοΈ How it works
Set an extra percentage of the sale price you're willing to pay, on top of NumberBarn's standard forty percent commission, to promote a listed number. That extra percentage is set per number, so different numbers can carry different Pig Pick percentages, up to a maximum of 50 percent.
When a number meets a buyer's search criteria and qualifies for promotion, it becomes eligible to appear as the Pig Pick, the highlighted first result, with its price and an Add to Cart button front and center.
Only one number is promoted per search result set. If more than one broker's number qualifies for the same search, a round robin decides which number gets the Pig Pick position that time, so being outbid on percentage doesn't shut a number out permanently.
π Things to Know
- The Pig Pick fee is only charged if the promoted number actually sells while it's in the promoted position. There's no cost for being shown as the Pig Pick if the number doesn't sell, this is a pay on sale promotion, not a pay per impression one.
- The Pig Pick fee always goes to NumberBarn, never to a reseller or any other party.
- A number can be promoted with Pig Pick while also being listed for license, having offers turned on, or carrying a vanity spelling, all at once.
- A number can be promoted with Pig Pick and sold through Embedded Search at the same time. On that channel, Pig Pick reduces the broker's share the same way it reduces the standard commission elsewhere. βΆοΈ See Embedded Search π.
