💡 What is it?
Put NumberBarn's phone number search directly on your website, so visitors can search and buy a number without leaving your site. This makes you a widget partner earning a commission on sales made through it, a separate role from being a broker who owns numbers.
⚙️ How it works
Two pieces of code go on your website: a short snippet marking where the search box appears, and a tracking script tied to your account. Set your own markup on top of NumberBarn's price, either a percentage or a fixed dollar amount, within a minimum of $9.95 and a maximum of $2,500. Choose whether toll free numbers are included.
Only certain numbers are eligible to appear in Embedded Search results. A number must belong to a broker opted into the Extended Seller Network, be listed for sale at a price rather than license only, be priced under $10,000, and be eligible for instant fulfillment. A number can still appear here even if it's also licensable or has offers turned on, those don't exclude it.
Number activation timeframe (i.e. "Get it Now" or "7-10 days") is determined automatically by how the number was originally acquired, numbers from NumberBarn's own network are instantly fulfillable, numbers from certain outside networks are not, with delivery instead taking about a week.
A sale made through Embedded Search splits three ways when no Pig Pick promotion is involved: the broker who owns the number keeps 50 percent, the widget partner earns 20 percent, and NumberBarn keeps the remaining 30 percent. If the number is also promoted with Pig Pick, the broker's share shrinks by the Pig Pick percentage and NumberBarn's share grows by the same amount, the partner's 20 percent doesn't change.
What a customer sees on their credit card statement is controlled separately: your company name, website, and support email, rather than NumberBarn's, must be entered. Or it will default to our business name.
📌 Things to Know
- This requires adding code to your own website, so it needs someone comfortable editing site code, or a developer, to install.
- A broker's number becoming eligible for Embedded Search depends on Extended Seller Network participation.
- Embedded Search sales appear alongside every other transaction.
- A number promoted with Pig Pick pays out differently through this channel than through a standard sale.
- Whether a specific number qualifies for instant fulfillment isn't visible or controllable in the dashboard. If a number doesn't appear in Embedded Search results and everything else checks out, extended network opt-in, a sale price under $10,000, this may be why.
