Moving across country in December and excited to find a new personal number for my new state. Could I buy a number ASAP and store it until around December? Also, I have Mint Mobile, anyone have any experience with changing your number to a new one with them?

  Hey Michael Riede happy to help you out! First of all, I hope your move goes great. 

  You can definitely buy a new number from us any time and store (or Park it) for just $2 per month until you're ready to port it.

  In general, if you want to change your number, you can just contact Mint and have them port in your new number. If you want to keep your current/old number, you can port it to NumberBarn and forward calls to your new number for a while. In those cases, I generally recommend porting from Mint to NumberBarn first and then once the port completes, port your new number to Mint.
