Sending DTMF tones during a forwarded call

Hi Mirko Amon, you should be able to use the keypad on the phone where you answer the call to send DTMF tones when you receive a forwarded call. Keep in mind that this is done on the phone where the call is answered. For example, if you answer the forward call on your mobile phone, you would use the keypad on the native dialer for your phone. Let me know if this makes sense.

I also added myself as a follower on your support ticket if you want to respond to me there to discuss.

Hi Jeremy, Do you think some banks could be blocking the keypad tones if it is a forwarded call?

Or there could be a configuration problem with the phone?

The phone tones usually work fine in other situations.

    Thanks

Hey Mirko Amon, thank you for your follow up. I've worked in VoIP for quite a while and have found that there can be a few variables. But one of the biggest culprits might be the carrier we're using to get the call to you.

Can you tell me more about the calling behavior? Is it an inbound call from your bank or are you placing an outbound call to the bank from your NumberBarn number? If you want to reply with a couple call examples on your ticket I can look and see what insight we can glean.

    Thanks Jeremy,

Yes, it is during an inbound call, that request to touch a number in order to give you a code.

Usually the keypad number tones are not recognized by the caller system in 4 of 5 times.

    Thanks, regards,

Hey Mirko Amon, can you go ahead and respond to the support ticket with the telephone number that called you and approximate time and date of the calls? I can check and see if perhaps there's a carrier having an issue.
