RCS Support for the messaging service...
I'm paying for a messaging service that doesn't support what I need for messaging. I'm trying to use my Number Barn number for messaging, particularly for 2FA authentication from various services. In fact, I want to move a few different numbers here for this purpose. However, in my initial trial with my first number -- my home landline that I never use except for loyalty programs at stores POS and Ticket Master -- things are not working. In moving this number to PC Optimium (Canadian retail loyalty program), I cannot receive their texts. I've had support change to the short number support carrier, but I still do not receive their texts. They use RCS. I have other programs that are also having issues. Ticket Master is not able to send texts either. If I'm going to pay nearly $10/month for messaging service, I need RCS support -- otherwise, I just go back to parking the number until I port it to a very low cost cellular pre-paid program so I can received the appropriate texts. I would much rather have numberbarn messaging so I can manage all the number's messages within a single phone barn app instead of having to deal with individual phones, but without RCS and short number support, I'm limited what I can use each number for, and it's just not worth it. Please add RCS support to make the service actually useful across all texting use cases.

At this point, I'm paying for a service I cannot use at all.

Hi Mike, we've definitely had the known issue where we have to move SMS to another carrier for short code text messages. We are getting closer to this being resolved.
There's also this issue where certain vendors don't send text messages to Landline/Wireline numbers. You can read more about that here: https://help.numberbarn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022494453-Does-NumberBarn-support-SMS-from-various-websites-and-banks
I am interested to see if support for RCS potentially alleviates the latter issue and will do some more reading and research on this topic.
