You may have seen that VoIPo is ceasing operations as of August 6 at the end of the day. If you want to ensure that you don't lose your telephone number, NumberBarn can help you port your number over.
In this article, we’ll go through the steps of porting your VoIPo number to NumberBarn.
How to initiate a port request to NumberBarn
Your first step in porting a number to NumberBarn is to initiate a port request on our website.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to port in a number
This article will help you with the initial request. When it comes to getting the port request authorized and approved, there are a couple of differences that we’ll cover next.
What’s my account number and PIN
Based on our experience, VoIPo doesn’t provide customers with an account number and PIN to port their number. And furthermore, we’ve heard that it’s impossible to contact support for VoIPo.
When you are initiating your port request, enter the following information:
- Account number - enter your telephone number with no dashes, spaces or special characters. For example, if your number is (858)555-1212 enter “8585551212.”
- PIN - enter 0000
When asked for an address, just enter your current address when submitting the port.
How to authorize your port request
Once your port has been submitted you will need to authorize it. You can review our methods for authorizing a port here:
Options for authorizing a port-in request: Call, Text or LOA/COB
If you do not have a Copy of Bill (COB)and are unable to receive calls or text messages for this number, your best option to authorize the port and prove that you own the number is to take a screenshot of your VoIPo account or invoice showing your name and your VoIPo telephone number. You can upload this to authorize your port.
