When is your next bill due? Why did we charge your card multiple times this month? Why do you have another balance owed when you just made a payment? The answer to all these questions and more is that it has to do with your billing or anniversary date. We'll explain.
Your billing date is determined by the activation of your phone number. This also might be referred to as an anniversary date.
Port to Billing Date
If you port in a number, you are only charged when your port completes. On the day your number transfers and activates to your account, you are billed for your first month and the one-time setup fee.
New Number Billing Date
If you purchase a new number, you are charged when that number has been activated.
On the day your number activates, you are billed for your first month and the one-time setup fee.
Billing Period
The activation day will now be your monthly billing date. (e.g. if your number transfers on October 10, then every month on the 10th, you will be billed for that month of service). For monthly service, if you have other telephone numbers, our system typically syncs the date to the other numbers on your account which means that you may see a prorated charge for your first month of service.
Do all my numbers have the same billing date?
If you bought a new number on the 2nd of the month and you ported in a number on the 15th, each number will have its own billing date. That means we'll charge your card for your new number on the 2nd of every month and for your ported number on the 15th of every month. Would you rather pay them both together? We can do that for you, just see the section titled "Can I change my billing date?"

I just made a payment. Why are you charging me again?
If your scheduled payment was declined, we will attempt to charge your card again a week later. However, this will not impact your billing date. Your next payment will still be due on your original schedule. This may lead to there only being 2 or 3 weeks between your late payment and your next payment, but rest assured that you're only charged once per number per month.
