When forwarding calls from your NumberBarn or NumberGarage number to your cell phone, it can be unsettling if calls ring to your cell phone voicemail. There are a couple of ways to mitigate this issue:
1. Reduce your call forwarding ring time - It's possible you've set your ring time too long and cell phone voicemail is answering before your NumberBarn service is able to answer. Learn more about this here:
How to forward calls to another number
2. Make sure you aren't blocking your NumberBarn numbers - In cases where your callerID setting is "Show called number" if you block your NumberBarn number in your mobile phone, those calls will go directly to voicemail without ringing. You can either change your callerID setting to "Show caller's number" or you can go unblock your NumberBarn number. To learn more about callerID, check this article out:
To unblock a number on your iPhone here are the steps:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Phone
- Then tap Blocked Contacts
- Find your NumberBarn number and swipe left to Unblock it
3. Make sure you aren't selecting the "decline call" option on your phone, and your phone is turned on and able to receive calls. If you decline a call that you receive from your NumberBarn or NumberGarage number, your phone's voicemail will take over the call.
