Caller number and called number
-
Hey Anah, thank you for your request. We've definitely explored the idea of displaying both the called number and the caller in your callerID but it's very tricky if not impossible to do. A good compromise is to use our Business Line option and forward calls to a group -- even if you just have one user in the group. With our group forwarding you can set up a call whisper where you can create a customer, text to speech announcement with an option for the recipient of the call to press 1 to accept the call. This article walks you through this configuration. https://help.numberbarn.com/hc/en-us/articles/34700647345303-Configure-Call-Whisper
Let me know if that helps!1 -
Ok so I did set up a business line last night with a new number since I will be using that number for business purposes. I saw the whisper thing but I think it would cause too much confusion for the people calling since they are calling for me and not a company.
That being said, I have two questions regarding business lines:
1) How does the business plan and unlimited plan compare? From what I was reading, it seemed like the business line has more features for less so I felt like there had to be a catch (which I've never seen that with your company so I really didn't think that was the case LOL)
2) Can I forward the calls to 2 numbers? I have two personal phone lines and would like to be able to answer the calls on whichever phone I have on me at the time, sort of how I use my numberbarn app on both phones for messaging, since I have park for the other two numbers

Hey Anah, keep in mind with whisper that you as the recipient of the call will hear the whisper message. The caller doesn't hear that message.
To answer your questions:
1. Yes, both plans have unlimited minutes. The big difference is that Business Line allows you to add multiple users and those do cost extra.
2. Each user can forward to a single telephone number. So if you want to forward to two telephone numbers you need two users with the Business Line plan.
Let me know if that makes sense.

Oh yes that makes perfect sense! Well since it's only me, I only need one user. :)

Hey Anah, that works. Let me know if more questions arise!
