What you will need:
- Your NumberBarn account login information
- The 10-digit phone number you are porting in
- Access to the Numbers section of your account dashboard
What is a Port In Status Used For?
- Port statuses help you track where your number is in the transfer process from your current carrier to NumberBarn.
As your request progresses, your status will update automatically so you can:
- See whether your request is pending, approved, or completed
- View rejection notices if additional information is needed
- Check for your FOC (Firm Order Commitment) date once approved
- Confirm when your number has successfully transferred

Understanding Port In Statuses
| Status | Defintion |
| Under Review |
Your authorization documents or request details are waiting to be reviewed by our support team. Once the review is complete, you’ll receive an email confirming the transfer has been authorized. |
| Processing | Your request is being prepared for submission to your current carrier. |
| Pending |
Your request has been sent to your current carrier for approval. This stage typically takes 3–10 business days, depending on the carrier and number type. |
| Attention Needed | Your current carrier rejected the request for a specific reason. |
| Approved |
Your current carrier approved the request and assigned an FOC (Firm Order Commitment) date. The FOC date is the scheduled transfer date for your number. Approved requests will display an APPROVED banner in your account. |
| Port-In Complete |
Your number has successfully transferred to NumberBarn. You’ll receive a “Transfer Complete” email once the port finishes. At this point:

Transfer Date Has Passed
- In most cases, ports are completed on the assigned FOC date by the end of the day Pacific time.
- If your transfer date has passed and your number has not transferred yet, there may be an issue delaying the request.
- Our team actively monitors port requests, but if you notice a delay, contact support (support@numberbarn.com) so we can work with the carrier to resolve the issue.
