🔍 Before You Begin
What you will need:
- A Port In request started for a phone number in your NumberBarn account.
- Be the owner of the phone number you are porting into NumberBarn.
- Access to the physical device or porting credentials from the current phone carrier you are paying to keep the number active in your name.
Why Authorize a Port In Request?
- In order to submit your Port In request (transfer), you will need to verify that you own your phone number by authorizing your transfer request.

Automatic Submission

| 2 | Click on Numbers from the navigation bar | ||
| 3 | Find the 10-digit phone number on the My Numbers page | ||
| 4 | Check the Account # and PIN are entered correctly | ➡️ If Order Details are correct, select an authorization option. | |
| (4a) Click the Edit Order button to update any order details | |||
| (4b) Enter the correct and needed details. | |||
| (4c) Click the Save Updates button |
1️⃣ Option 1: Call or Text
BY PHONE CALL ⤵️ | |||
| 1 | Click on the Call Me button | ➡️ This will place a call to your phone number being transferred. | |
| 2 | Answer the call on the phone number's current device | ➡️ A 4-digit code will be read aloud on the call. | |
| 3 | Enter the code in the space provided. | ||
| (3a) Click the Try Again Later button to place call at another time. | ➡️ You can initiate this call at any time. If you are unable to complete the call at the time of sign up, simply log out and log back in at a more convenient time. Do not cancel. | ||
| 4 | Click the Submit Code button | ||
BY TEXT MESSAGE ⤵️ | |||
| 1 | Click on the Text Me button |
➡️ Text Me is only available for wireless phone numbers | |
| 2 | Enter the code in the space provided. | ||
| (2a) Click the Try Again Later button to place a text at another time. | ➡️ You can initiate this text at any time. If you are unable to complete this step at the time of sign up, simply log out and log back in at a more convenient time. Do not cancel. | ||

I didn't receive the call or text ⤵️ | |||
| 1 | Call or Text will come through immediately to the phone number you are porting. | ➡️ Therefore, if you do not receive a call or text right away, for any reason, do not worry, you still have another option. The call or text is not permitted by all carriers. Simply use Option 2 ⤵️ | |
2️⃣ Option 2: Submit COB (Copy of Bill)

| 2 | Click to select a file or drop a file (PDF or up to 5 JPG images) into the box to upload the copy of bill. | ➡️ The bill must show the phone number, your name, account number, and service address. ➡️ A screenshot of your online account information is acceptable. | |

| Submit Port | Your documents have been submitted and are currently under internal review. This process can take 3 - 7 business days to complete. We will be sending you status updates via email as we get them. |
✅ What's Next
- 📕Please Note: These authorization options do not replace the need to provide us with the current account details for your phone number. We will still be required to submit your contact details and account information from your current carrier.
