• Text Messaging deactivated if currently active on the number

What is Business Text Messaging with String used for?

String provides business text messaging capabilities that are not available through NumberBarn’s personal P2P messaging service.

String supports features such as:

• Business text messaging (A2P)
• 10DLC Brand Registration
• 10DLC Campaign Registration
• Auto replies
• Mass messaging
• Additional business messaging tools

📋 Steps 

Activate String Hosted Messaging

1	Login to your account
2	Select Numbers
3	Click on the phone number you want to edit
4	Click on the Messages tab
	(4a) If NumberBarn Text Messaging is currently active, click Deactivate SMS.
5	Click the Activate String Text Messaging button
6	Confirm your NumberBarn account password
7	Click the Activate button to confirm text messaging change.		➡️ By activating, you agree to String's terms of service and you confirm you are a business with an EIN. You will be enrolled in a one month free trial and then pay $19.99 per month after that for the Essential Plan. Upgrade to Elite, switch back to NumberBarn or cancel at any time.
8	Wait a few minutes for Messaging to be configured for hosting with String		➡️ The voice portion of your telephone number will remain with NumberBarn.
