π‘ What is it?
Text Messaging allows customers to send and receive personal SMS conversations using eligible local NumberBarn phone numbers through the NumberBarn mobile app.
NumberBarn text messaging is classified as Person to Person (P2P) messaging by wireless carriers and is intended for individual, personal conversations only. Business texting, marketing campaigns, automated messaging, and mass communications are not supported.

π Things to Know
Messaging Limits
To prevent spam and maintain carrier compliance, reasonable usage limits apply.
Limits may include:
- Messages sent per minute
- Messages sent per day
- Unique recipients contacted per day
Accounts that exceed normal personal texting behavior may be temporarily restricted from sending messages.
MMS Support
Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) support is limited.
- Attachments must be under 2 MB
- Delivery is not guaranteed
- Some carriers may not support all attachment types
One Active Messaging Device
To comply with carrier requirements, only one mobile device can actively send messages from a NumberBarn phone number at a time.
- If multiple devices are signed into the same account, users may be prompted to verify which device is actively sending messages.
Verification Codes and Short Code Messages
NumberBarn numbers are classified as wireline numbers, not wireless numbers. Because of this, some banks, websites, apps, and other services may not send verification codes, two factor authentication (2FA) messages, or short code messages to your NumberBarn number.
- Support varies by company and can change at any time based on the senderβs policies.
