💡 What is it?
International calling covers every way a NumberBarn number connects with a phone number outside the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico: calling out, forwarding calls, and receiving calls. Each works differently, and some require NumberBarn support to turn on.

Place calls to international numbers using the Dialer. Some destinations require International Calling to be enabled on the account. Contact support to enable it. Some destinations are not supported and cannot be called. |
Forward incoming calls to a phone number outside the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. This is a separate service from the Dialer. Support enables it on the account, and a per-minute surcharge may apply depending on the destination. |

Receive calls from international callers on a NumberBarn number without changing any account settings. The caller's location does not add an international surcharge. A surcharge applies only when a call forwards to an international destination, and it is based on that destination. For toll-free numbers, whether an international caller reaches the number depends on the caller's carrier. NumberBarn cannot guarantee it. Text messaging works only between NumberBarn numbers and US or Canadian numbers. Text messages to and from international numbers are not supported. |

📌 Things to Know
International Means Outside the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico
Caribbean countries and island territories that share the +1 country code are treated as international and can carry a per-minute rate. Puerto Rico is not.
Support Turns On International Calling
Turn on international calling or forwarding by contacting support. It cannot be turned on from the account. If the account is locked for inactivity or after too many failed login attempts, international calling is turned off. Contact support to turn it back on after the account is unlocked.

Calls cannot be placed or forwarded to every country and number range. Look up a destination before setting it up.
