International calling covers every way a NumberBarn number connects with a phone number outside the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico: calling out, forwarding calls, and receiving calls. Each works differently. Use the table below to find the right one.

Place calls to international numbers using the Dialer. The Dialer shows the per-minute rate for the destination under the number. If it shows "Add international credit to call" and the country, add credit to the account. Some destinations are not supported and cannot be called. |
Forward incoming calls to a phone number outside the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Forwarding is separate from the Dialer. Some destinations are included at no extra charge. Others carry a per-minute rate that uses international credit. Add credit to the account yourself. |

Receive calls from international callers on a NumberBarn number without changing any account setting. The caller's location does not add an international surcharge. A rate applies only when a call forwards to an international destination, and it is based on that destination. For toll free numbers, whether an international caller reaches the number depends on the caller's carrier. NumberBarn cannot guarantee it. Text messaging works only between NumberBarn numbers and US or Canadian numbers. Text messages to and from international numbers are not supported. |

📌 Things to Know
International Means Outside the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico
Caribbean countries and island territories that share the +1 country code are treated as international and can carry a per minute rate. Puerto Rico does not.
Some Destinations Are Not Supported
Calls cannot be placed or forwarded to every country and number range. Look up a destination on the International Rates page before setting it up.
