What Are Nicknames Used For?

A nickname lets you see both a number and what it spells, for example, seeing "800-COOL CAR" alongside (800) 266-5227. Nicknames also make it easy to tell numbers apart when an account has more than one, such as a home line and a business line.

📋 Steps 

Add a Nickname

1	Login to your account
2	Select Numbers
3	Click on the phone number you want to edit
4	Click on the Options tab.
5	Enter a nickname
6	Click the Save Changes button.

✅ What's Next

• Your nickname now displays next to the number throughout your account, making it easy to identify at a glance.
• A nickname is for your account view only. It does not change the Caller ID name displayed to the people you call. That is controlled separately by CNAM. See Can I change the Caller ID name (CNAM) for my phone number?
