🧪 Symptoms
- Your NumberBarn number is set to forward calls to your cell phone
- Your Incoming Call ID is configured to display "Show Number Called" (your NumberBarn number)
- Your cell phone displays forwarded calls as "Spam Likely," "Scam Likely," or "Potential Spam"
⚠️ Issue Summary
Good news, this is not a problem with NumberBarn features. Your calls are being delivered successfully: your phone just doesn't recognize the number yet.
Here's what's happening: when a call comes into your NumberBarn number and gets forwarded to your cell phone, your cell phone sees your NumberBarn number as the incoming caller, not the original caller's number. Since your NumberBarn number is a virtual number your phone has never seen before, your phone or carrier's spam filter treats it like any other unfamiliar number and flags it as potential spam.
This is the same reason a legitimate business call from an unknown number sometimes gets flagged. It has nothing to do with NumberBarn's systems or reputation; your phone simply hasn't been introduced to your new number yet.
🛠 Fix Steps
Save Your NumberBarn Number as a Contact
Once your phone recognizes your NumberBarn number as a known contact, it will stop flagging forwarded calls as spam.
- Open your phone's Contacts app
- Create a new contact (e.g. "My NumberBarn Number" or your business name)
- Enter your NumberBarn number as the phone number
- Save the contact
Forwarded calls should now display normally going forward.

- You have saved the contact, and forwarded calls are still being blocked entirely (not just labeled as spam)
