π‘ What is it?
A negotiation feature that lets a prospective buyer propose a price below a listed number's asking price.
βοΈ How it works
Set-Up
Turn on offers for any listed number and set the lowest price you're willing to accept. From there, the feature runs as a structured negotiation:
A buyer makes an offer. A buyer proposes a price from the number's search result, without ever seeing your minimum.
Low offers never reach you. If the offer is below your minimum, it's automatically declined right away. The buyer isn't notified immediately though, that notification goes out around 24 hours later, the same window as a normal response deadline. You are never notified of a below minimum offer at any point.
Action Required
You have twenty-four hours to respond once a qualifying offer comes in. There are three ways to respond:
- Accept the offer, and the buyer moves directly into standard checkout.
- Counter with a new price. The buyer is notified and can accept your counter through a Checkout Now link. As a safeguard, the buyer can't submit another offer on that number for a fresh twenty four hours.
- Decline the offer. The buyer is invited to make a better offer. If you decline a second offer from the same buyer, they're locked out from offering again on that number until the original twenty four hour window runs out, which may be less than a full twenty four hours from the moment you declined.
Unanswered offers are automatically declined if you don't respond within twenty four hours.
After Offer is Accepted
Once accepted, the buyer completes the standard NumberBarn checkout, and you're notified when the purchase is pending and again when it's completed.ready for batch 4
π Things to Know
- A minimum offer price is required before a number can accept offers, and is set per number, not account wide.
- The automatic thirty-minute rejection and twenty-four-hour response windows apply the same way regardless of list price or number type.
- Once an offer becomes a pending sale, the sale price can't be changed and the sale can't be cancelled or interfered with, this is part of the Marketplace Broker Terms every broker agrees to.
- A number can accept offers while also being listed for license, promoted with Pig Pick, or carrying a vanity spelling, all at once.
- Once a number is in a buyer's cart or has been ordered, no one else can add it to their cart or submit an offer on it. A pending offer alone doesn't reserve a number, it stays available for sale until the offer is accepted, declined, or expires.
