What are your rates to forward calls to my international number?

You've followed our step-by-step guide for setting up call forwarding to your international number but still want to know what our rates are for forwarding calls to that number. In addition, you may be wondering about the implications for text messages when calls are forwarded to an international number. 

First, let's look at the cost to forward calls. Here's how to get that exact cost:

• Go to our International Calling Rates page
• If you want to search by country, click COUNTRY at the top so you can get a general understanding of the rates for that country. For example, "Italy" will return both the Landline and Mobile pricing. Note the wide range of pricing for Mobile call forwarding.
• Now click PHONE NUMBER at the top of the search and then enter the exact phone number you are forwarding to and the per minute rate will dynamically update so you can get the most accurate rate for call forwarding.

Note that we work with a variety of different vendors for international calling, and because of this, our rates change periodically. We do our best to notify our customers any time rates change -- whether it's an increase or decrease.

Also, note that calls from a US number to a NumberBarn number that forward to an international number will not result in international charges to the caller. That is unless the caller's carrier charges them for the call to that NumberBarn number.

Are callers subject to international charges when calling my number?

Your callers may or may not be charged for the call from their device to your NumberBarn number. That leg of the call is entirely up to their carrier. 

The leg of the call that we charge for is to forward the call from your NumberBarn number to an international number. You as the NumberBarn customer are responsible for any international charges for this leg of the call, not the person who placed the call.

What's the EXACT rate when forwarding calls to a specific number?

When searching by country,  you will see a range of international rates. To get more specific on our International Calling Rates page, first select Search by: PHONE NUMBER and then enter the full telephone number you are forwarding calls to. This will display the exact international calling rate for that number.

Can I forward calls to a satellite telephone number?

We do not currently support forwarded calls to be sent to a satellite telephone number due to the high cost of doing so. If this is absolutely essential, we suggest that you port your number to a different carrier that can support forwarding to a satellite telephone number. 

After doing a bit of research, we've also found that US cell phone providers also do not allow call forwarding to a satellite telephone number. If this is essential to you, check out this article from Iridium Go that allows you to convert your cell phone into a satellite phone.

Are there any surcharges for text messaging when calls are forwarded to an international number?
