Yes, your NumberBarn number will receive incoming calls from an international number.
In the case of toll-free numbers, there's nothing in our system that prevents international callers from dialing your number. Note that, in these cases, the caller's carrier will likely charge international rates for the call and they will not actually be toll-free.
Those callers should not, however, be charged international rates for any call that is ultimately forwarded to an international number.
Callers are receiving a "this number is unallocated" error
As of April 2023, we've received reports that dialing numbers in the 350 area code from European carriers result in this error. 350 area code was added in November 2022 and we believe that those international carriers do not realize that a new area code has been added. We are pursuing a resolution on this and will update this article just as soon as we have one.
Can I receive calls FROM an international caller TO my NumberBarn number and forward them TO an International number?
This scenario is not supported. We can't guarantee a reliable connection to forward the calls with consistent audio quality. The more times a call is forwarded within a single call the less control we have over the quality -- and this is only compounded when you factor in international carriers.
