You can now add a Global Number to your NumberBarn or NumberGarage account. in this article, we'll help you understand global numbers and how to add them to your account.
What are global numbers?
A global number is a telephone number from another country. This allows you to offer a local telephone number in your country of choice and then forward calls to a number in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico without incurring international call forwarding charges.
Here's an example of where these might benefit your business. Let's say you own a business in a popular US tourist destination and many of your customers are located in the UK. You can obtain a UK global number on the NumberBarn website and set calls to forward to your US business telephone number. When folks in the UK want to call that global number, it's a local call for them and there are no international charges for the call forwarding -- provided that you forward to a number in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico.
