Finding Phone Numbers
Through NumberBarn, a phone number can be purchased or licensed from within the marketplace. Searching for US, Canadian, and Puerto Rican numbers. Both local and toll-free numbers can be found in the marketplace. Global phone numbers, at this time only for the UK, are available for limited use cases. The marketplace search can filter results based on spelling, city, state or province, price range, activation time frame, number pattern, and more.
Porting Phone Numbers
Phone numbers can be ported, also known as transferred, between phone carriers. Local Number Portability makes it permissible for an 'owner' of a phone number to choose to move their number from one service provider (or carrier) to another. For example, a phone number can be moved from your current T-Mobile wireless plan to a virtual phone number service, like NumberBarn.
Additionally, if a phone number is purchased through our marketplace, it can be ported away to another carrier. ClearHello does not place limitations on porting away to another carrier or charge an extra fee. However, a phone number itself can have limitations, such as the geographical region assigned to the phone number, known as a rate center, is only supported by specific carriers. A toll-free number can only be ported to a landline or wireline carrier. US and Canadian phone numbers can only be ported to a respective carrier in that country.
Using Features and Services
Every phone number ordered through the marketplace is subject to a service plan to activate the phone number. There are several choices based on the services needed and price points for monthly plan fees. A monthly plan is required for each phone number. Your account can contain multiple phone numbers, all on different service plans. Additionally, the plan can be changed or canceled at any time.
Many of the features are customizable to your specific needs of forwarding, outbound calling, voicemail messages, SMS, or managing your account.
Account Management
Each account has login security features, such as a password and two-step authentication. Accounts are accessible via any web browser, on a computer, smartphone, or our free mobile app.
Business Plan
Advanced virtual phone system features, which include Multiple User Logins, Schedule-based routing of calls, Forward calls to a group of users, Voicemail Transcripts, Call Logs per User
Brokerage Program
ClearHello has a brokerage program that allows customers to use our marketplace to list their phone numbers for sale or license. As well as utilize our product through the affiliate program to add their branding to sell ClearHello phone numbers.
