Note: The following applies to NumberBarn accounts only.
You can change your billing period from Monthly to Annually or Annually to Monthly on the Park plan only. An annual billing period is not available for Forward or Unlimited plans.
Your billing period determines if you are billed Annually ($24) or Monthly ($2/month).
Find the billing period you are on now:
- Login to your account
- Select Numbers from the navigation bar
- Select your number
- On the top right of your number, locate the price + billing period.
It will show:
- $2/mo: Monthly
or
- Annual
How to change your billing period on the Park plan:
- Login to your account
- Select Numbers from the navigation bar
- Select on your number
- Select Options
- Select Change Billing Period
- Save your changes.
Billing period options for the Park Plan:
- Monthly: $2/month
- Annually: $24/year
If you are on the Annual plan and wish to change to Monthly:
If you are changing your Park plan from Annual to Monthly, you will receive a pro-rated credit for the amount of unused time from your initial payment.
If you ported a number to NumberBarn on the Annual plan, we waive the $5 port-in fee. When you change the Annual plan to Monthly before the year is up, you'll be assessed a $5 downgrade fee to cover the cost of the port-in fee that was previously waived. It will be automatically charged upon changing your plan from Annual to Monthly.
If you are on the Monthly plan and wish to change to Annual:
If you are changing your Park Monthly plan to Annual, you will be billed for a year of service at the end of the current month you paid for. If you ported in a number, we do not automatically credit your $5 port-in fee but will be happy to do so if you contact customer support.
Here's an example of how this annual billing works. If you sign up for the Monthly Park plan on May 9th, 2024, this means the 9th of every month is your billing date or anniversary date. You'll pay for the first month (May 9 to June 9) at the time your number activates. When you change to annual billing, let's say on May 19th, you won't be billed again until June 9 when you will be billed for a year from June 9, 2024 to June 9, 2025.
How are we taxed on annual billing?
Taxes and fees are no different on annual billing than they are for monthly billing. They are assessed at the time the bill is created. To learn more about taxes and fees at NumberBarn, check out the following article:
