💡 What is it?
The Contacts tab in the Mobile App provides a centralized contact directory for phone numbers used with your NumberBarn account.
Contacts can be searched, created, edited, deleted, and used when placing outbound calls or sending text messages. The Contacts tab also provides access to call blocking settings and displays both NumberBarn account contacts and contacts synced from your mobile device.

NumberBarn account contacts can be deleted from the Contacts tab when they are no longer needed. Device Contacts vs NumberBarn Contacts
The Mobile App can display two types of contacts:
| NumberBarn Contacts | Device Contacts | |
Stored in the NumberBarn account and available across supported devices and web browser access.
| Contacts already on the device using the NumberBarn mobile app, or local contacts, are stored only on the mobile device and available only on that device.

📌 Things to Know
Synced Contacts Are Device Specific
Contacts imported from a mobile device remain stored on that device and are not automatically saved to the NumberBarn account.
NumberBarn Contacts Are Available Across Devices
Contacts saved to the NumberBarn account can be accessed anywhere the account is supported, including the web browser and Mobile App.
Local Contacts Cannot Be Managed Through NumberBarn
Contacts that exist only on the mobile device must be edited or deleted using the device’s native contacts application.
Contacts Support Calling and Messaging
Saved contacts can be used throughout the Mobile App when:
- Making outbound calls
- Starting new text message conversations
- Reviewing calls
- Reviewing message conversations
Contact names may appear instead of phone numbers when available.
