License A Phone Number ⚙️

    What you will need: 

    1. A payment method
    2. A phone number available for license
    3. A service plan that supports licensing

    Why are licensed phone numbers used for? 

    Licensing allows you to use a premium or high-value phone number without purchasing ownership of it.

    Licensed numbers are commonly used for:

    • Business advertising and marketing
    • Vanity phone numbers
    • Brand recognition
    • Temporary campaigns
    • Testing demand before purchasing a number

    When licensing a number:

    • You pay a monthly licensing fee
    • The number remains owned by the original owner
    • The number stays active in your account while the license remains active
    • Some licensed numbers may also be available for purchase

    📋 Steps 

    1️⃣ Search for a Phone Number

     1 Go to the NumberBarn.com Marketplace and search for available numbers.

      (1a) Filter for Licensable Numbers. You may also see numbers that are available for both purchase and license.

    2️⃣ Select a Phone Number

    2 Choose the number(s) you’d like to purchase.  

    ➡️ Pay attention to:

    • Monthly licensing fee
    • Activation time frame
    • Number type (Local, Toll-Free, or Global)

    3️⃣ Add the Number to Your Cart

    3 Click on Start License button to add it to your cart.

    ➡️ The number will be temporarily reserved for 30 minutes. Each number has its own timer, starting when you click Add to Cart.
      (3a) Checkout via the link on the phone number or from your shopping cart at the top right corner of the page.

    4️⃣ Choose a Service Plan

    4 Select a monthly service plan for the phone number.

      (4a) Licensed numbers require both a monthly licensing fee and a service plan.

    5️⃣ Agree to License Terms

    5 Review the licensing agreement displayed during checkout and check all boxes to continue.
      No ownership or porting away: The licensee understands and agrees that at no time shall they have any ownership, licensehold, or proprietary interest in the telephone number. The Customer has no rights to become the subscriber of record for the telephone number, to port the telephone number to a different carrier, to submit any letter of authorization to any carrier or Resporg. Any and all rights to the Number will be retained by NumberBarn which at all times will remain the subscriber of record and end-user for the telephone number during the term and afterwards.
      Monthly fees:

    The licensee shall agree to pay: 

    (i) a one-time activation fee if listed, 

    (ii) the monthly license amount as displayed at the time of checkout and within the licensee's control panel, and

    (iii) the automated annual increase if so indicated at the time of purchase. 

    Customer warrants, represents, acknowledges and agrees that Customer shall be solely responsible for and shall pay any and all Billed Charges incurred on and after the Effective Date including all applicable Federal, State, municipal and all other local taxes, surcharges and regulatory fees of any description billed by any such telecommunications carrier.
      License duration: The license terms are effective on the date of telephone number activation (the "create date"). The license is month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time by the licensee, or terminated by NumberBarn if licensee's account is delinquent due to non-payment (or in violation of terms of service).
      Reconnection:  If the telephone number is deleted from licensee's account after two week's of non-payment, there is no guarantee of reconnection or continuance of license as the telephone number will be cancelled from licensee's account and reassigned to the original owner. It is the sole responsibility of the licensee to maintain its account in good standing

    6️⃣ Complete Checkout

      (6a) Add payment method
      (6b) Place Order

    7️⃣ Complete Any Verification Requests

    7 Some orders require additional verification before activation. Watch for emails from numberbarn.com.
     

    If verification is requested:

    • Follow the instructions in the email
    • Respond promptly to avoid delays
    • Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the message

     8️⃣ Wait for Activation

    8 Your number must activate before it can be used in your account. ➡️ Activation time is typically within 2 hours
