You are porting your Canadian number to another carrier.
You've gathered up your porting information from your account and thought you were ready to take your snazzy new number out of the Barn, but your new carrier says you need to answer a port-in text message from NumberBarn first to authorize the transfer. Wait, what? Your number's on the Port Away or Park plan!
Good news! While Canadian law does require mobile or wireless transfers to be authorized by text, that's not required for wireline transfers. And all NumberBarn numbers are classified as wireline!
Simply let your new carrier know this is a wireline/landline transfer and you should be all set.
Need help authorizing your Canadian port-in request on a number that can't receive texts?
