Sometimes, your new carrier will see a rejection labeled "non-matching authorized signature" when you try to port your toll-free number away to them. It's a confusing rejection, especially because you may not have given them or us a signature at all.
Porting out a toll-free number requires an additional verification step. When we receive the port request, we will send an automated email with the subject line "ACTION REQUIRED - Transfer Approval". You must approve the transfer within 24 hours or it will be automatically rejected. The rejection is usually labeled "rejected by end user," but sometimes it shows up as "non-matching authorized signature."
Either way, all you need to do is ask your new carrier to resubmit your request and be on the lookout for another Transfer Approval email. Respond within 24 hours to approve the request.
