💡 What is it?
The Billing page in your NumberBarn account shows all charges, fees, and plan activity for your account. This article explains how billing works, what appears on your bill, and how your billing date is determined.
⚙️ How it works
How Auto-Pay Works
NumberBarn automatically charges your card on file. Everything on your account renews together on your account billing date, in one charge, so there is no need to log in and pay each month. Update your card at any time from within your account.

What's on Your Bill
| Starting Balance | Non-Recurring Charges | |
| Any balance carried over from the previous period | One-time charges such as setup fees, porting fees, or reactivation fees | |
| Recurring Charges | Usage Charges | |
| Monthly plan charges for each number, account user, and add on such as messaging | Charges for minutes used beyond your plan | |
| Taxes and Fees | Ending Balance | |
| Regulatory fees and applicable sales tax (see below) | Your total amount due after all charges | |
International Credit Purchases
International credit purchases are separate from the monthly renewal. Add credit at any time from Account Settings. The purchase appears in Billing History as International calling credit, with a matching card payment. Charges that draw from international credit do not appear on the bill.

Billing Dates
Your billing date, also called your anniversary date, is the one day each month when everything on your account renews, and your card is charged. All phone numbers, account users, and add-ons on your account share the same billing date.
- First number on your account: your billing date is set the day your first number activates.
- Numbers added later: purchased, ported in, and restored numbers join your existing billing date. The first charge covers only the days until your billing date. After that, the number renews with the rest of your account.
- Account users added later: the first charge covers only the days until your billing date. After that, the user renews with the rest of your account.
Note: your billing date is the day of the month you are charged. This is different from your billing period, which is whether you are charged monthly or annually. See Billing Periods below.
Billing Periods
Your billing period determines whether you are charged monthly or annually. The annual billing option is available for the Park plan only.

📌 Things to Know
Prorated Charges
A prorated charge covers only part of a month, so you pay only for the days of service you receive. Prorated charges show "(Prorated)" after the plan name on your bill, for example "(555) 555-1234: Park (Prorated)." You may see a prorated charge when:
- You add a number or account user between billing dates
- A number on your account moves to your account billing date
- Your billing date is changed
Numbers Previously Billed on Different Dates
If your numbers were billed on different days of the month, each one moves to your account billing date at its next renewal. That number is charged once for the days between its old date and your account billing date, then renews with everything else. After the switch, you see one charge each month instead of several.
Why You May See Multiple Charges Close Together
If a scheduled payment was declined, NumberBarn attempts to charge your card again about one week later. This does not change your billing date; your next payment is still due on your original schedule. This can result in only 2 to 3 weeks between a late payment and the next regular charge.
Plan Minutes
Included plan minutes reset on your billing date. When a number moves to your account billing date, its minutes reset on that date.
International Credit Is Separate From the Account Balance
Pay Now pays the account balance. It does not add international credit, and the account balance does not show the international credit balance.

Changing Your Billing Date
Billing date changes are handled by our support team and apply to every number and account user on your account. Moving to a later date adds a prorated charge. Moving to an earlier date adds a prorated credit. Billing dates can be set to any day from the 1st through the 28th of the month.

Invoices
When you download a billing period from the Billing page, the file is called an Invoice. It includes your billing address, a summary of all charges and taxes, and your ending balance.
